Description

Ingredients

– 1 head green cabbage, shredded

– 2 medium apples, peeled, cored and diced

– 1 cup heavy cream

– 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

1. – Melt the butter in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat.

2. – Add the shredded cabbage and sauté for 5-7 minutes, until slightly softened.

3. – Stir in the diced apples and continue cooking for 3-4 minutes.

4. – Pour in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper.

5. – Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is very tender and the sauce has thickened.

6. – Serve hot as a side dish or enjoy as a main course.

Notes

– For added flavor, try adding a teaspoon of caraway seeds or a pinch of nutmeg.
