Description

Indulge in the cozy, comforting flavors of fall with this divine Apple Crumble Bread. Packed with juicy apple pieces and topped with a buttery, cinnamon-spiced crumble, this quick bread is perfect for breakfast, snacking, or dessert.

Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon baking soda

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 3/4 cup granulated sugar

– 2 large eggs

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 2 cups peeled and diced apples (about 2 medium apples)

– 1/2 cup packed brown sugar

– 1/3 cup all-purpose flour

– 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, cubed

Instructions

1. – Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

2. – In a medium bowl, whisk together the 2 cups of flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.

3. – In a large bowl, beat the 1/2 cup of softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.

4. – Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Gently fold in the diced apples.

5. – In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, 1/3 cup of flour, and cubed 4 tablespoons of butter. Use a fork or your fingers to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

6. – Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the top.

7. – Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

– For a more pronounced apple flavor, use a combination of sweet and tart apple varieties.

– Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce for an extra special treat.

– Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
