Description

These Bacon-Wrapped Dates Stuffed with Creamy Goat Cheese are the ultimate sweet and savory appetizer. The salty bacon perfectly complements the sweet dates and creamy goat cheese, creating an irresistible flavor combination that will have your guests coming back for more.

Ingredients

– 12 Medjool dates, pitted

– 4 oz goat cheese, softened

– 12 slices bacon, cut in half

– 2 tbsp honey

– Fresh thyme sprigs, for garnish

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. Cut a slit down the side of each date and gently remove the pit.

3. In a small bowl, mix the softened goat cheese until smooth and creamy.

4. Stuff each date with about 1 tsp of the goat cheese mixture.

5. Wrap a half slice of bacon around each stuffed date, securing it with a toothpick.

6. Arrange the bacon-wrapped dates on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

7. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy.

8. Remove from the oven and drizzle the dates with honey.

9. Garnish with fresh thyme sprigs and serve warm.

Notes

For a spicy twist, try stuffing the dates with a mixture of goat cheese and chopped jalapeño. You can also experiment with different types of cheese, such as cream cheese or blue cheese. These bacon-wrapped dates are best served immediately, but they can be made in advance and reheated in the oven before serving.
