Ingredients
– 4 large onions, peeled and sliced into 1/2-inch thick rings
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
– 1 cup grated asiago cheese
Instructions
1. – Preheat the oven to 400°F.
2. – In a large bowl, toss the sliced onions with the olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
3. – Arrange the onion slices in a single layer on a baking sheet.
4. – Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping the onions halfway, until they are tender and lightly caramelized.
5. – Remove the baking sheet from the oven and sprinkle the grated asiago cheese evenly over the onions.
6. – Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
