These Banana Bread Brownies are a delicious fusion of two classic desserts. Moist, fudgy, and packed with ripe banana flavor, they make the perfect treat for any occasion.
Ingredients
– 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
– 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
– 2 large eggs
– 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2-3 medium bananas)
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 cup all-purpose flour
– 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
– 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan and set it aside.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until combined.
3. Add the eggs, mashed bananas, and vanilla extract, and mix until well incorporated.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Do not overmix.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly.
7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
8. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting and serving.
Notes
For best results, use very ripe, spotty bananas. You can also add chopped walnuts or pecans to the batter for extra texture and flavor.
