Ingredients
– 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
– 1 cup crumbled blue cheese
– 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
– 2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves
– 1 egg, beaten with 1 tablespoon water (for egg wash)
Instructions
1. – Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. – Roll out the puff pastry sheet into a large rectangle, about 12×16 inches.
3. – Sprinkle the crumbled blue cheese evenly over the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border.
4. – Top the cheese with the chopped walnuts and fresh thyme leaves.
5. – Starting from the long side, tightly roll up the pastry into a log.
6. – Slice the log into 1-inch thick pieces and arrange them cut-side up on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
7. – Brush the tops of the pastry twirls with the egg wash.
8. – Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and flaky.
