– 2 celery stalks, diced

– 3 garlic cloves, minced

– 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

– 2 cups seafood or chicken broth

– 1 cup heavy cream

– 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning

– 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

2. Add the onion and celery, and cook for 5-7 minutes, until softened.

3. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.

4. Sprinkle the flour over the vegetables and stir to coat. Cook for 2 minutes.

5. Gradually whisk in the broth, then stir in the heavy cream, Old Bay seasoning, black pepper, and salt.

6. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.

Notes

For a richer stew, you can use half-and-half or whole milk instead of heavy cream. You can also add a splash of dry sherry or white wine for extra flavor.
