Description
Juicy burger patties smothered in a rich and creamy caramelized onion aioli make for a comforting and satisfying meal that’s ready in just 30 minutes.
Ingredients
– 1 lb ground beef
– 1 onion, thinly sliced
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 1/2 cup mayonnaise
– 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
– 1 tsp Dijon mustard
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 1/4 tsp black pepper
– Lettuce, tomatoes, and other desired toppings
Instructions
1. 1. In a large skillet, cook the sliced onion over medium-low heat for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until caramelized.
2. 2. While the onions are cooking, form the ground beef into 4 equal-sized patties.
3. 3. Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
4. 4. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper to make the caramelized onion aioli.
5. 5. Assemble the burger bowls by placing the cooked patties in bowls and topping with the caramelized onions and aioli. Add your desired toppings, such as lettuce and tomatoes.
Notes
For a heartier meal, serve the burger bowls with roasted potatoes or a fresh salad on the side. The caramelized onion aioli can also be used as a dip or spread for sandwiches and wraps.
