Description

Indulge in the comforting flavors of autumn with these irresistible Caramel Apple Slices. Tender, cinnamon-spiced apple slices are coated in a rich, gooey caramel sauce for a decadent, crowd-pleasing treat.

Ingredients

– 4 medium apples, cored and sliced into 1/4-inch thick wedges

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter

– 1 cup brown sugar

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

1. – Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

2. – Add the apple slices, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the apples are tender and the sauce has thickened, about 10-12 minutes.

3. – Slowly pour in the heavy cream and continue cooking, stirring constantly, until the sauce is smooth and glossy, about 2-3 minutes more.

4. – Transfer the caramel apple slices to a baking dish or serving platter.

5. – Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

– Use your favorite baking apples, such as Honeycrisp, Gala, or Fuji.

– For a richer flavor, substitute salted caramel sauce in place of the caramel sauce.

– Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
