Description

Indulge in the comforting aroma and delightful flavors of Cardamom Bread with Honey Orange Butter. This homemade bread is infused with fragrant cardamom and topped with a luscious, citrusy butter for a truly irresistible treat.

Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon baking powder

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1 tablespoon ground cardamom

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 3/4 cup granulated sugar

– 2 large eggs

– 1/2 cup milk

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 1/4 cup honey

– 2 tablespoons orange zest

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and set it aside.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cardamom. Set aside.

3. In a large bowl, cream the 1/2 cup of softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Then stir in the milk and vanilla extract.

5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Do not overmix.

6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

7. While the bread is baking, prepare the honey orange butter. In a small bowl, mix together the 1/2 cup of softened butter, honey, and orange zest until well combined.

8. Once the bread is done, allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

9. Serve the Cardamom Bread warm, with a generous drizzle of the honey orange butter on top.

Notes

For a deeper cardamom flavor, you can add an extra 1/2 teaspoon of ground cardamom to the dry ingredients. The honey orange butter can also be used as a spread on other baked goods or as a topping for pancakes and waffles.
