Description

Indulge in this irresistible Cast Iron Skillet Pizza Dip, a cheesy, saucy appetizer that’s perfect for parties, game days, or any occasion. Baked to bubbly perfection in a cast iron skillet, this dip is loaded with melted mozzarella, pepperoni, and a flavorful tomato sauce.

Ingredients

– 8 ounces cream cheese, softened

– 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

– 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

– 1 cup pepperoni, diced

– 1 cup tomato sauce

– 1 teaspoon dried oregano

– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

– Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy.

3. Add the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, diced pepperoni, tomato sauce, oregano, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir until well combined.

4. Transfer the mixture to a 10-inch cast iron skillet.

5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and the cheese is melted and golden brown.

6. Remove the skillet from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.

7. Garnish the dip with fresh basil leaves.

8. Serve the Cast Iron Skillet Pizza Dip warm, with crispy breadsticks, crackers, or tortilla chips for dipping.

Notes

For an extra cheesy dip, you can add a bit more mozzarella cheese on top before baking. If you prefer a spicier dip, increase the amount of red pepper flakes. The dip can be made ahead of time and reheated in the oven or microwave before serving.
