Description

Indulge in a flaky, chocolatey breakfast with this quick and easy Chocolate Croissant Breakfast Bake. Layers of buttery croissants and rich chocolate come together in a decadent morning treat.

Ingredients

– 6 croissants, cut into 1-inch pieces

– 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

– 6 large eggs

– 1 cup whole milk

– 1/4 cup granulated sugar

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. 2. Arrange the croissant pieces in the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the top.

3. 3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt until well combined.

4. 4. Pour the egg mixture over the croissant and chocolate chips, making sure to distribute it evenly.

5. 5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.

6. 6. Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm!

Notes

– For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet.

– Top with a dusting of powdered sugar or a drizzle of caramel sauce for an extra special touch.

– Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven or microwave.
