Description
These Christmas Cranberry and Brie Filo Crackers are a delightful and easy-to-make holiday appetizer. The flaky filo pastry shells are filled with creamy brie cheese and a tangy cranberry topping, creating a perfect balance of flavors and textures.
Ingredients
– 12 sheets filo dough, cut into 4-inch squares
– 8 ounces brie cheese, cut into 1-inch pieces
– 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries, chopped
– 1/4 cup granulated sugar
– 1 tablespoon orange zest
– 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
– 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a small bowl, combine the chopped cranberries, sugar, orange zest, and cinnamon. Mix well and set aside.
3. Place one filo square on the prepared baking sheet. Brush with melted butter and top with a piece of brie cheese. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the cranberry mixture on top.
4. Repeat with the remaining filo squares, brie pieces, and cranberry mixture, spacing the crackers about 1 inch apart on the baking sheet.
5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the filo is golden brown and crisp.
6. Serve the Christmas Cranberry and Brie Filo Crackers warm or at room temperature.
Notes
These crackers can be made ahead of time and stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in a 350°F oven for 5-7 minutes before serving.
