Description

Indulge in the warm, spicy aroma and melt-in-your-mouth texture of these easy, homemade Christmas Donuts. Whip up a batch in just 5 minutes for a delightful holiday treat.

Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1/2 cup granulated sugar

– 2 teaspoons baking powder

– 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 1 egg

– 3/4 cup milk

– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

– Powdered sugar, for dusting

– Christmas sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

1. 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.

2. 2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

3. 3. In a separate bowl, beat the egg, then stir in the milk and melted butter.

4. 4. Gently fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

5. 5. Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.

6. 6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the donuts are golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

7. 7. Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

8. 8. Once cooled, dust the donuts with powdered sugar and top with Christmas sprinkles, if desired.

9. 9. Serve warm and enjoy your delicious homemade Christmas Donuts!

Notes

For a fun twist, try adding a teaspoon of vanilla extract or a pinch of nutmeg to the batter. These donuts can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
