Description

Indulge in the delightful combination of sweet cranberries, creamy Camembert cheese, and crunchy pistachios nestled in flaky puff pastry, shaped into a stunning Christmas tree. This easy-to-make appetizer is sure to impress your guests and fill their bellies with holiday cheer.

Ingredients

– 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed if frozen

– 1 cup fresh cranberries

– 8 oz Camembert cheese, cut into small cubes

– 1/2 cup shelled pistachios, chopped

– 1 tbsp honey

– 1 tsp dried thyme

– 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

1. – Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. – Unfold the puff pastry sheet and place it on a lightly floured surface. Roll it out to a 12-inch square.

3. – In a bowl, combine the cranberries, Camembert, pistachios, honey, thyme, and salt. Mix well.

4. – Place the puff pastry square on the prepared baking sheet. Cut the pastry into a triangle shape, leaving a 1-inch border at the bottom.

5. – Starting at the wide end, arrange the cranberry-Camembert mixture in a diagonal line down the center of the triangle, leaving a 1-inch border on each side.

6. – Make cuts from the outer edge to the filling, cutting the pastry into 1-inch wide strips. Fold the strips over the filling, alternating sides, to create a Christmas tree shape.

7. – Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.

8. – Serve the Cranberry, Camembert & Pistachio Christmas Tree Puff Pastry warm, garnished with additional fresh thyme or rosemary if desired.

Notes

– For a sweeter twist, you can drizzle the baked pastry with a bit of honey or maple syrup.

– Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven before serving.
