Ingredients

– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

– 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

– 1 cup grated parmesan cheese

– 1 teaspoon dried oregano

– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

– 8 slices of bread

– 1 cup marinara sauce


Instructions

1. – Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. – Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness, about 1/2 inch.

3. – In a shallow bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

4. – Dredge the chicken breasts in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing firmly to coat.

5. – Place the breaded chicken on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the breading is crispy.

6. – Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes, then slice each breast into 4 pieces.
