Description

Indulge in the irresistible crunch and savory flavor of these Crispy Fried Mushrooms, a delightful appetizer or side dish that’s quick and easy to make at home.

Ingredients

– 1 lb fresh mushrooms, cleaned and sliced

– 1 cup all-purpose flour

– 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

– 2 eggs, beaten

– 1 tsp garlic powder

– 1 tsp paprika

– 1/2 tsp salt

– 1/4 tsp black pepper

– Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

1. – In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

2. – In a separate shallow bowl, beat the eggs.

3. – In a third shallow bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.

4. – Dredge the mushroom slices in the flour mixture, then dip them in the beaten eggs, and finally coat them in the panko breadcrumbs.

5. – In a large skillet, heat 1/2 inch of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

6. – Working in batches, fry the breaded mushrooms for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.

7. – Transfer the fried mushrooms to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

8. – Serve the Crispy Fried Mushrooms hot, with your favorite dipping sauce on the side.

Notes

For best results, use fresh, high-quality mushrooms. You can experiment with different types of mushrooms, such as button, cremini, or shiitake. Adjust the seasoning to your taste preferences. The fried mushrooms can be kept warm in a 200°F oven until ready to serve.
