Ingredients
– 2 lbs chicken wings, drumettes and flats separated
– 2 tbsp cornstarch
– 1 tsp salt
– 1/2 tsp black pepper
– 1/2 cup honey
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 2 tbsp soy sauce
– 1 tbsp rice vinegar
– 1 tsp sesame oil
– 2 tbsp chopped green onions, for garnish
– 1 tbsp sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
1. 1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. 2. Pat the chicken wings dry and place in a large bowl. Add the cornstarch, salt, and pepper, and toss to coat.
3. 3. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy and cooked through.
4. 4. In a small saucepan, combine the honey, garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until thickened slightly, about 5 minutes.
5. 5. Transfer the baked wings to a large bowl. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the wings and toss to coat evenly.
6. 6. Garnish the wings with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
– For extra crispy wings, pat them dry thoroughly before breading.
– You can adjust the honey or soy sauce to taste to balance the sweetness and saltiness.
– Serve the wings with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch or blue cheese.
