Ingredients

– 8 slices Cuban or French bread

– 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 cup shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese


Instructions

1. 1. Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat.

2. 2. In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter and minced garlic until well combined.

3. 3. Spread the garlic butter evenly over one side of each slice of bread.

4. 4. Place the bread slices, butter-side down, in the preheated skillet or griddle. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the bread is golden-brown and crispy.

5. 5. Flip the bread slices and top 4 of them with the shredded cheese.

6. 6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is toasted.

7. 7. Remove from heat and assemble the sandwiches by placing the cheese-topped slices on top of the remaining 4 bread slices.
