Description

These classic deviled eggs get a flavorful twist with the addition of a tangy relish topping. They make a quick and easy appetizer that’s perfect for parties, potlucks, or a delicious snack.

Ingredients

– 12 hard-boiled eggs

– 1/2 cup mayonnaise

– 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

– 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish

– 1/4 teaspoon paprika

– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives (plus more for garnish)

– Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. – Peel the hard-boiled eggs and cut them in half lengthwise.

2. – Carefully scoop the yolks out of the egg whites and place them in a medium bowl.

3. – Add the mayonnaise, mustard, relish, paprika, and 2 tablespoons of chopped chives to the yolks. Mash and mix until smooth and well combined.

4. – Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.

5. – Garnish the deviled eggs with a sprinkle of paprika and the remaining chopped chives.

6. – Chill the deviled eggs in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality mayonnaise and Dijon mustard. You can also experiment with different types of relish, such as sweet pickle, dill, or even a spicy relish for a kick of heat. These deviled eggs can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
