Description

Dill Pickle Focaccia Bread is a savory and flavorful homemade bread that combines the tangy taste of dill pickles with the soft, chewy texture of classic focaccia. This easy-to-make recipe can be ready in just 30 minutes, making it the perfect snack, side dish, or accompaniment to soups and stews.

Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon active dry yeast

– 1 cup warm water

– 1/4 cup diced dill pickles

– 2 tablespoons olive oil

– 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped

– 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine the flour and yeast. Slowly pour in the warm water and mix until a shaggy dough forms.

2. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes, until it becomes smooth and elastic.

3. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 10 minutes.

4. Punch down the dough and press it into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan. Use your fingers to make indentations all over the surface.

5. Sprinkle the diced dill pickles and chopped fresh dill over the top of the dough. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.

6. Bake at 400°F for 20-25 minutes, or until the focaccia is golden brown and the pickles are slightly crispy.

7. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

For added flavor, try brushing the baked focaccia with a garlic-infused olive oil or sprinkling it with additional fresh dill.
