These adorable Easter Deviled Egg Chicks are a delightful twist on classic deviled eggs, perfect for your holiday celebrations. With just a few simple ingredients and 10 minutes of prep time, you can create a charming and tasty appetizer that’s sure to delight your guests.
Ingredients
– 12 hard-boiled eggs
– 1/2 cup mayonnaise
– 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
– 1/4 teaspoon paprika, plus more for dusting
– 24 small carrot slices or pieces for the beaks
– 24 small black olive slices or peppercorns for the eyes
Instructions
1. Peel the hard-boiled eggs and cut them in half lengthwise.
2. Carefully remove the yolks and place them in a medium bowl.
3. Add the mayonnaise, mustard, and 1/4 teaspoon of paprika to the yolks. Mash and mix until smooth and creamy.
4. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.
5. Place a small carrot slice or piece on the top of each filled egg white for the beak.
6. Place a small black olive slice or peppercorn on the top of each filled egg white for the eyes.
7. Lightly dust the tops of the filled egg whites with additional paprika.
8. Arrange the Easter Deviled Egg Chicks on a serving platter and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
For a pop of color, you can use different-colored carrots or bell pepper pieces for the beaks. You can also get creative with the eyes, using small pitted olives, capers, or even small pieces of black licorice.
