Description

Indulge in the fresh berry goodness of this easy, show-stopping Fresh Berry Chantilly Flag Cake – the perfect festive treat for any celebration! Layers of moist sponge cake are topped with fluffy Chantilly cream and juicy red, white, and blue berries arranged in a stunning American flag design.

Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 2 teaspoons baking powder

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

– 4 large eggs

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 2 cups heavy whipping cream

– 1/4 cup powdered sugar

– 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

– 1 cup fresh blueberries

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour three 8-inch round cake pans.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

3. In a large bowl, beat the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.

4. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.

5. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.

6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow cakes to cool completely.

7. In a large bowl, beat the heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.

8. Place one cake layer on a serving platter. Top with 1/3 of the whipped cream and arrange some of the strawberry slices and blueberries in an American flag design.

9. Repeat with the remaining cake layers, whipped cream, and berries.

10. Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For best results, use the freshest, ripest berries available. You can also try substituting other fresh fruits like raspberries or blackberries. Serve chilled and enjoy!
