Ingredients

– 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted

– 2 cups granulated sugar

– 2 large eggs

– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

– 1 tablespoon red food coloring

– 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

– 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1/2 teaspoon salt


Instructions

1. 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan and line it with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy removal.

2. 2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until well combined.

3. 3. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and red food coloring.

4. 4. In a separate bowl, sift together the cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
