Description
Tender, juicy Gaelic Irish Steaks are a true delight. Marinated in Guinness and seasoned with traditional Irish herbs and spices, these steaks are the perfect blend of bold flavor and succulent texture.
Ingredients
– 4 (8-ounce) beef ribeye steaks
– 1 cup Guinness stout
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
– 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
1. In a shallow baking dish, combine the Guinness, garlic, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Add the steaks and turn to coat both sides. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or up to 24 hours, turning the steaks occasionally.
2. Remove the steaks from the marinade and pat dry with paper towels.
3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add the steaks and sear for 3-4 minutes per side, or until a nice crust forms.
4. Reduce the heat to medium-low and continue cooking the steaks to your desired doneness, about 2-4 minutes more per side for medium-rare.
5. Transfer the steaks to a cutting board and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Serve the Gaelic Irish Steaks with roasted potatoes and sautéed greens for a complete Irish-inspired meal. You can also use this marinade with other cuts of beef, such as flank steak or hanger steak.
