Ingredients

– 1 loaf sourdough bread

– 8 oz brie cheese, cut into slices

– 1 cup fresh cranberries

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 2 tbsp fresh chopped herbs (such as rosemary, thyme, parsley)

– 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

– 1 tsp salt

– 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

1. – Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. – Slice the sourdough bread in half horizontally to create a top and bottom piece.

3. – In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, chopped herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

4. – Spread the melted butter evenly over the cut sides of the bread.

5. – Sprinkle the garlic-herb mixture over the buttered surfaces.

6. – Layer the brie cheese slices onto the bottom half of the bread. Top with the fresh cranberries.

7. – Place the top half of the bread back on and press gently to secure.

8. – Wrap the stuffed bread in foil and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is warm.

9. – Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

– For a more indulgent flavor, you can add a drizzle of honey or maple syrup over the cranberries before baking.

– Experiment with different cheese varieties, such as goat cheese or Gruyère, for a unique twist.

– This stuffed bread can be enjoyed as an appetizer, side dish, or even a main course.
