Description

Ingredients

– 1 lb brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

– 2 tbsp olive oil

– 1 tsp salt

– 1/2 tsp black pepper

– 3 garlic cloves, minced

– 1 cup heavy cream

– 1 cup grated parmesan cheese

– 1/4 tsp nutmeg


Instructions

1. 1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. 2. Toss the brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and black pepper on a baking sheet.

3. 3. Roast the brussels sprouts for 15-20 minutes, or until tender and lightly browned.

4. 4. In a saucepan, combine the garlic and heavy cream. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes.

5. 5. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in 3/4 cup of the parmesan cheese and the nutmeg.

6. 6. Transfer the roasted brussels sprouts to a baking dish and pour the creamy garlic sauce over the top.

7. 7. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese over the top.

8. 8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

This dish can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving. You can also try adding a panko breadcrumb topping for extra crunch.
