Ingredients
– 1 lb ground chicken
– 2 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
– 1 tbsp sesame oil
– 1 tbsp soy sauce
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tsp grated ginger
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 1/4 tsp black pepper
– 4 burger buns, toasted
– 1 cup chopped kimchi
– 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
– 2 tbsp brown sugar
– 1 tbsp rice vinegar
– 1 tsp sesame seeds
Instructions
1. – In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, gochujang, sesame oil, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper. Mix well until fully incorporated.
2. – Form the chicken mixture into 4 equal-sized patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
3. – Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
4. – In a small bowl, mix together the chopped kimchi, crumbled bacon, brown sugar, and rice vinegar to make the Kimchi Bacon Jam.
5. – Place the cooked chicken patties on the toasted burger buns and top with a generous spoonful of the Kimchi Bacon Jam. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
6. – Serve the Gochujang Chicken Burgers immediately, and enjoy!
Notes
– For a spicier jam, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the mixture.
