Description
A classic, comforting Greenbean Casserole featuring tender green beans in a rich, creamy mushroom sauce, topped with crispy fried onions for the ultimate side dish.
Ingredients
– 2 cans (10.5 oz each) condensed cream of mushroom soup
– 1/2 cup milk
– 1/4 tsp black pepper
– 4 cups fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
– 1 1/3 cups crispy fried onions
Instructions
1. 1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. 2. In a large bowl, mix the condensed soup, milk, and black pepper until well blended.
3. 3. Stir in the green beans and 2/3 cup of the fried onions.
4. 4. Transfer the mixture to a 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
5. 5. Bake for 25 minutes or until the green beans are tender.
6. 6. Top with the remaining fried onions.
7. 7. Bake for an additional 5 minutes until the onions are golden brown.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use cream of mushroom soup with garlic. You can also add sautéed mushrooms or a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.
