Description

This easy Ground Beef and Spinach Skillet with Feta is a quick and flavorful weeknight dinner that the whole family will love. Tender ground beef is sautéed with fresh spinach and seasoned to perfection, then topped with tangy feta cheese for a satisfying and nutritious meal.

Ingredients

– 1 lb ground beef

– 1 onion, diced

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 5 oz fresh spinach

– 1 tsp dried oregano

– 1 tsp dried basil

– 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

– Salt and pepper to taste

– 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese

Instructions

1. – In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.

2. – Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, until the onion is translucent.

3. – Stir in the fresh spinach and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes.

4. – Season the mixture with dried oregano, dried basil, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper.

5. – Remove from heat and sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese over the top.

6. – Serve immediately while hot.

Notes

– For a creamier texture, stir in 2-3 tablespoons of cream cheese or heavy cream along with the feta. – Experiment with different cheese varieties, such as goat cheese or shredded mozzarella. – Serve over rice, pasta, or with a side salad for a complete meal.
