Description

Tender, flavorful Guinness Gravy Meatballs are a delightfully indulgent comfort food recipe ready in just 30 minutes. The meatballs are simmered in a rich, savory Guinness-infused gravy for a cozy and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

– 1 pound ground beef

– 1 cup breadcrumbs

– 1 egg

– 1 onion, finely chopped

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 teaspoon dried thyme

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

– 2 cups Guinness stout

– 2 cups beef broth

– 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

– 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

– 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

– Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

1. – In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

2. – Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.

3. – In a large skillet, brown the meatballs over medium-high heat until they are no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Transfer the meatballs to a plate.

4. – In the same skillet, whisk together the Guinness, beef broth, flour, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.

5. – Add the meatballs back to the skillet and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and the gravy has thickened.

6. – Serve the Guinness Gravy Meatballs over mashed potatoes or with crusty bread, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For a thicker gravy, you can mix an additional tablespoon of flour with a tablespoon of water and stir it into the simmering gravy. The meatballs can also be baked in the oven at 375°F for 20-25 minutes instead of pan-frying.
