Description

Elevate your holiday meals with this easy, homemade Honey Bourbon Cranberry Sauce. The irresistible blend of sweet honey, warming bourbon, and tart cranberries creates a delightful condiment that’s perfect for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any festive occasion.

Ingredients

– 12 oz fresh or frozen cranberries

– 1/2 cup honey

– 1/4 cup bourbon

– 1/4 cup granulated sugar

– 1 tbsp orange zest

– 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

– 1/4 tsp ground cloves

Instructions

1. 1. In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, honey, bourbon, sugar, orange zest, cinnamon, and cloves.

2. 2. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries begin to burst and the sauce thickens, about 10-15 minutes.

3. 3. Use a potato masher or the back of a spoon to gently mash some of the cranberries, leaving some whole for texture.

4. 4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving. The sauce will continue to thicken as it cools.

Notes

– For a thinner consistency, add 1-2 tbsp of water during the simmering process.

– Substitute orange juice for the bourbon for a non-alcoholic version.

– Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
