Description
Honey Butter Chicken is a delightful and easy-to-make dish that combines the sweet and savory flavors of honey and butter. This 30-minute recipe results in tender, juicy chicken with a crispy, golden-brown exterior and a mouthwatering glaze.
Ingredients
– 1.5 pounds chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
– 2 tablespoons honey
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon paprika
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season both sides with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Add the chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
3. Reduce the heat to low and add the honey to the skillet. Spoon the honey butter sauce over the chicken, coating it evenly.
4. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, basting the chicken with the sauce, until the sauce thickens slightly.
5. Serve the honey butter chicken immediately, spooning any extra sauce from the skillet over the top.
Notes
For best results, use boneless, skinless chicken breasts that are roughly the same size for even cooking. The honey butter sauce can also be used on other proteins, such as pork chops or salmon. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
