Description

These quick and easy Honey Garlic Shrimp Bowls are a flavor-packed weeknight dinner that’s ready in just 15 minutes. Tender shrimp are sautéed and tossed in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, then served over a bed of fluffy rice for a delicious and nourishing meal.


Ingredients

– 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1/4 cup honey

– 2 tbsp soy sauce

– 1 tbsp rice vinegar

– 1 tsp sesame oil

– 2 green onions, sliced

– Cooked rice, for serving


Instructions

1. 1. In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp olive oil over medium-high heat.

2. 2. Add the shrimp and garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes, until the shrimp start to turn pink.

3. 3. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.

4. 4. Pour the honey garlic sauce into the skillet and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly.

5. 5. Remove from heat and stir in the sliced green onions.

6. 6. Serve the honey garlic shrimp immediately over a bed of cooked rice.

Notes

– For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a squeeze of fresh lime juice.

– This recipe can easily be doubled for meal prep or larger servings.

– Leftovers will keep in the fridge for up to 3 days.
