Description

Indulge in the rich, buttery goodness of homemade Hot Buttered Rum. This classic winter cocktail is easy to make and perfect for sipping by the fireplace on a chilly evening.

Ingredients

– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

– 2 tablespoons brown sugar

– 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

– 1 1/2 ounces dark rum

– 6 ounces hot water

Instructions

1. In a small bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.

2. Add the dark rum and hot water to the butter mixture and stir until the sugar has dissolved.

3. Pour the hot buttered rum into a mug and enjoy immediately.

Notes

For a richer, creamier texture, use heavy cream or half-and-half instead of water. You can also garnish with a cinnamon stick or grated nutmeg.
