Ingredients
– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– 2 eggs
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 2 cups ground walnuts or pecans
– 1/2 cup granulated sugar
– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
1. – Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. – In a large bowl, cream together the butter and 1 cup of sugar until light and fluffy.
3. – Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla and salt.
4. – Gradually add the flour and mix until a dough forms.
5. – In a separate bowl, combine the ground nuts, 1/2 cup sugar, and cinnamon.
6. – Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to 1/4-inch thickness.
7. – Cut the dough into 3-inch squares. Place a heaping tablespoon of the nut mixture in the center of each square.
8. – Fold the dough over the filling to form a triangle and crimp the edges to seal.
9. – Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
10. – Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
11. – Dust the cooled cookies with powdered sugar before serving.
