Ingredients
– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 tablespoon baking powder
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
– 1/4 cup diced fresh jalapeno peppers (or to taste)
– 12 ounces (1 bottle) of beer
Instructions
1. – Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
2. – In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
3. – Pour in the melted butter and stir until just combined.
4. – Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese and diced jalapeno peppers.
5. – Slowly pour in the beer and stir just until the dry ingredients are moistened. Do not overmix.
6. – Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
7. – Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
8. – Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing and serving.
