Ingredients
– 1 lb ground beef
– 1 onion, diced
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
– 4 cups beef or chicken broth
– 8 oz lasagna noodles, broken into 1-inch pieces
– 1 cup ricotta cheese
– 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
– 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
– Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. 1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned and crumbled, 5-7 minutes.
2. 2. Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook for 2-3 minutes, until the onion is translucent.
3. 3. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and broth, and bring the mixture to a simmer.
