Crispy tater tots are piled high with melted cheese, diced tomatoes, sliced jalapeños, crumbled bacon, and a tangy dollop of sour cream for a seriously satisfying and crowd-pleasing appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

– 1 (32 oz) bag frozen tater tots

– 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

– 1 cup diced tomatoes

– 1/2 cup sliced jalapeños

– 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

– 1 cup sour cream

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. Spread the frozen tater tots in a single layer on a large baking sheet.

3. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.

4. Remove the tater tots from the oven and top them evenly with the shredded cheddar cheese.

5. Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

6. Remove the loaded tater tots from the oven and top with the diced tomatoes, sliced jalapeños, and crumbled bacon.

Notes

For a spicier version, use pepper jack cheese or add more jalapeños. You can also experiment with other toppings like green onions, black olives, or guacamole.
