Ingredients

– 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

– 1 cup white vinegar

– 1/2 cup water

– 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

– 2 teaspoons salt

– 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

– 1 teaspoon dried oregano

– 1 teaspoon dried thyme

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 bay leaf


Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine the shrimp, vinegar, water, sugar, salt, red pepper flakes, oregano, thyme, garlic, and bay leaf. Stir until the sugar and salt are dissolved.

2. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours, stirring occasionally.

3. Remove the bay leaf before serving. Enjoy the Louisiana Pickled Shrimp chilled or at room temperature.

Notes
