Description

Maple Bacon Carrots are a delicious and easy-to-make side dish that combines the sweet and savory flavors of maple and bacon. These tender, caramelized carrots are the perfect accompaniment to any meal, from weeknight dinners to holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

– 1 pound carrots, peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces

– 4 slices bacon, chopped

– 2 tablespoons maple syrup

– 1 tablespoon olive oil

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. In a large bowl, combine the chopped carrots, chopped bacon, maple syrup, olive oil, cinnamon, salt, and black pepper. Toss to coat the carrots evenly.

3. Spread the carrot mixture in a single layer on a large baking sheet.

4. Roast for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway, until the carrots are tender and the bacon is crispy.

5. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For extra caramelization, broil the carrots for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking. You can also use baby carrots instead of large carrots. Adjust the cooking time as needed.
