Description

This authentic Mexican Red Salsa Recipe is a mouthwatering, flavor-packed dip that’s ready in just 10 minutes. Bursting with the perfect balance of juicy tomatoes, tangy lime, and a kick of heat, this salsa is a crowd-pleasing classic.

Ingredients

– 4 large ripe tomatoes, diced

– 1 white onion, finely chopped

– 3 garlic cloves, minced

– 1 jalapeño, seeded and finely chopped

– 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

– 2 tablespoons lime juice

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

Instructions

1. 1. In a large bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped onion, minced garlic, and seeded, chopped jalapeño.

2. 2. Add the fresh cilantro, lime juice, salt, and cumin. Stir well to combine.

3. 3. Let the salsa sit for 5-10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

4. 4. Serve the Mexican Red Salsa immediately with tortilla chips or use as a topping for tacos, burgers, and more.

Notes

For a milder salsa, remove the seeds and membranes from the jalapeño. For a spicier version, leave them in. The salsa can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
