Ingredients
– 12 slices of day-old brioche or challah bread, cubed
– 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
– 8 large eggs
– 2 cups whole milk
– 1/2 cup heavy cream
– 1/2 cup granulated sugar
– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
– 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
– 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
1. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Arrange the cubed bread in the prepared baking dish.
3. Sprinkle the blueberries evenly over the bread.
4. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.
5. Pour the egg mixture over the bread and blueberries, ensuring all the bread is submerged.
6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.
7. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
8. Bake the French toast bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
9. Let the bake cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes
For best results, use day-old bread as it will absorb the custard mixture better. You can also add chopped pecans or walnuts for extra crunch. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
