Ingredients

– 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

– 1 cup creamy peanut butter

– 1 cup granulated sugar

– 1 cup packed light brown sugar

– 2 large eggs

– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

– 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon baking soda

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips


Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and peanut butter together until creamy and well combined.

3. Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar, and beat until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.

7. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For extra peanut butter flavor, you can add 1/4 cup more peanut butter to the dough. Enjoy these cookies with a cold glass of milk for the ultimate pairing.
