Description

Indulge in the rich, buttery flavors of this pear, pecan, and caramel crumble. Tender pear slices are nestled in a sweet caramel sauce and topped with a crunchy, golden-brown pecan crumb topping for a truly irresistible dessert.

Ingredients

– 4 medium pears, peeled, cored, and sliced

– 1/2 cup brown sugar

– 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

– 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

– 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats

– 1/2 cup chopped pecans

– 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cubed

– 1/4 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

1. – Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9-inch baking dish.

2. – In a large bowl, toss the sliced pears with brown sugar, 1/4 cup melted butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish.

3. – In a separate bowl, combine the flour, oats, pecans, and cubed butter. Use a fork or your fingers to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

4. – Sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the pear mixture.

5. – Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the pears are tender.

6. – Remove from the oven and drizzle the caramel sauce over the top.

7. – Serve warm, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream if desired.

Notes

– For a crisper topping, you can bake the crumble for an additional 5-10 minutes.

– Try different fruit combinations, like apples or mixed berries, for a variation.

– Leftover crumble can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
