Description

Indulge in the moist, velvety texture of this easy-to-make Pink Velvet Cake. This quick and effortless recipe is perfect for birthdays, Valentine’s Day, or anytime you crave a comforting, decadent treat.

Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

– 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

– 1 teaspoon baking soda

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1 cup buttermilk

– 1/2 cup vegetable oil

– 2 large eggs

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1-2 tablespoons pink food coloring

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

3. In a separate bowl, combine the buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir until well mixed.

4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

5. Add the pink food coloring and mix until the desired shade of pink is achieved.

6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove it from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.

8. Once cooled, frost the cake with your favorite cream cheese frosting and enjoy!

Notes

For an even richer flavor, you can add a tablespoon of instant coffee or espresso powder to the batter. This cake can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
