Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1 teaspoon active dry yeast

– 1/2 cup warm milk

– 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

– 1 cup mashed purple sweet potatoes

Instructions

1. – In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.

2. – Add the warm milk and melted butter, and stir until a shaggy dough forms.

3. – Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.

4. – Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

8. – Bake the buns for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

9. – Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For a softer texture, brush the baked buns with melted butter. You can also experiment with different toppings, such as sesame seeds or cinnamon sugar.
