Description

Indulge in the rich, buttery goodness of this classic Shrimp Scampi recipe! Tender, juicy shrimp are simmered in a garlic-infused butter sauce, creating a truly irresistible and flavor-packed dish that’s perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or elegant entertaining.

Ingredients

– 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

– 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1/4 cup dry white wine

– 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice

– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

– 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

– Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

– 8 ounces linguine pasta, cooked according to package instructions

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.

3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, for 2-3 minutes until the shrimp start to turn pink.

4. Pour in the white wine and lemon juice. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has slightly thickened.

5. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the chopped parsley and red pepper flakes (if using). Season with salt and pepper to taste.

6. Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta evenly with the shrimp and sauce.

7. Serve the Shrimp Scampi immediately, garnished with additional parsley if desired. Enjoy!

Notes

– For a creamier sauce, stir in 2-3 tablespoons of heavy cream or half-and-half at the end.

– Customize the spice level by adjusting the amount of crushed red pepper flakes.

– Serve with crusty bread or over mashed potatoes for a heartier meal.
