Description

Sichuan Dry Fried Green Beans are a quick and flavor-packed vegetable side dish that’s perfect for any meal. These crisp, tender green beans are stir-fried with garlic, ginger, and a savory sauce for a delightful combination of textures and tastes.


Ingredients

– 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces

– 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger

– 2 tablespoons soy sauce

– 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

– 1 teaspoon sesame oil

– 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

– Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste


Instructions

1. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over high heat.

2. Add the trimmed and cut green beans and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, until they start to blister and become tender-crisp.

3. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan and continue to stir-fry for 1 minute, until fragrant.

4. Add the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir to coat the green beans evenly.

5. Continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes, until the green beans are tender but still have a slight crunch.

6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

7. Serve the Sichuan Dry Fried Green Beans hot, as a delicious vegetable side dish.

Notes
