– 1 cup tomato sauce
– 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
– 2 teaspoons brown sugar
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon chili powder
– 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 12 slider buns, toasted

Instructions
1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
2. Add the diced onion and bell pepper to the skillet and sauté for 3-4 minutes, until the vegetables are softened.
3. Stir in the tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, chili powder, and smoked paprika. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
4. Reduce the heat to low and let the sloppy joe mixture simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the flavors have melded.
5. Divide the sloppy joe mixture evenly among the toasted slider buns. Top each slider with a generous amount of crispy fried onions.
6. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
For a spicier version, add a teaspoon or two of hot sauce to the sloppy joe mixture. The crispy onions can be made ahead of time and stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
